Hotel Heinz and its surroundings
Reischach near Bruneck is a proud, traditional village at the foot of the local Kronplatz mountain. It is surrounded by greenery and far away from the main roads. This makes it a peaceful location, which in summer, especially, is ideal for effortless rest and recuperation.
Only 3km away is Puster Valley's lively town of Bruneck, with its medieval town centre, and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. You can spend the whole day in Bruneck, shopping, visiting the museum or castle, in which Reinhold Messner will launch his fifth Messner Mountain Museum MMM Mountain Peoples (from october 2010).
Bruneck is especially pretty and reflective at Christmas time. On an evening the town is transformed into a uniquely romantic sea of lights, the scents of mulled wine and star-shaped cinnamon cookies float through the air, and Christmassy sounds fill the streets and alleyways. Bruneck’s Christmas market is one of the loveliest in South Tyrol. The Citybuses stop directly in front of our Hotel Heinz in Reischach, and will take you quickly and comfortably to Bruneck’s Christmas market and back again.
